Scientific Research - Heart Failure

In 1998 I started studying orthomolecular medicine aimed at treating cardiomyopathy because of my own poor health caused by heart failure (EJF 25-35 %). On the basis of my first study I managed to cure myself of heart failure (cardiomyopathy). In 2003 I started a forum to coach Bert Verhoef and Jan van der Bos, both suffering from heart failure (cardiomyopathy). To better inform them about the possibilities I started a second study. For this study on cardiomyopathy I mostly used information from the prestigious The National Library of Medicine Database. The protocol for cardiomyopathy uses a large number of food supplements that are to be taken together with the regular medications prescribed by the medical/cardiac specialist.

This information (and any accompanying printed material) is not intended to replace the attention or advice of a physician or other health care professional. Anyone who wishes to embark on any dietary, drug, exercise, or other lifestyle change intended to prevent or treat a specific disease or condition should first consult with and seek clearance from a qualified health care professional.

A food supplement is actually nutrition in concentrated form. The supplements (nutrition) mentioned in this article can be used without objection together with the regular medication prescribed by the cardiologist for the treatment of heart failure (cardiomyopathy). When in doubt confer with your doctor.
THANK YOU!!

Instructions for reading Scientific Articles

It is, for non professionals, sometimes difficult to interpret scientific literature, but there are tricks that help
  1. Read the title of the article, is it positively phrased? Yes, that's good. Are there any question marks in the title? That might be bad news.
  2. Read the sentences after the OBJECTIVE marker, often found in the beginning of the abstract. These sentences will give you a clue what is going on.
  3. Do not read anything on METHODS, DESIGN, etc. That is for the real scientists.
  4. Look for the words RESULTS, CONCLUSIONS and read the sentences following this marker first.
  5. If you can not find these OBJECTIVE, RESULT or CONCLUSION markers read only the first couple of sentences and the last sentences of the abstract. But what ever you do, never, never, read the text in the middle of the abstract, it will only give you a headache.
